Long time no talk friends! I am so excited to be back writing content for you all.
As some of you may know, from July 31-August 4th, I was away in Glorietta, New Mexico attending Camp Regeneration 2021 with my youth group at Parker Bible Church! Wow y’all… I don’t think I even know where to start with all the good things I got out of it, amazing experiences had, and friendships grown! But nonetheless, I was so inspired to start writing to you guys again (writer’s block sucks.) so I thought I would give a small recap on my four days at camp and then do a short series diving into the notes I took during a few of the sermons from Pastor Austin T. Duncan, Pastor Josh Petras, and Dr. John MacArthur!
To start, the theme for 2021 was “Number Your Days” taken from Psalms 90:10-12 which is written by Moses, and it reads, “As for the days of our life, they contain seventy years, or if due to might, eighty years, yet their pride is but labor and wickedness; for soon it is gone and we fly away. Who knows the power of your anger and your fury, according to the fear that is due to you? Teach us to number our days, that we may present to you a heart of wisdom. “
It was four and a half days, 800+ teenagers, 24 teams for the Olympic themed games- 12 real countries #goteamUSA & 12 fake countries- seven sermons, fifteen total worship sessions, six small group sessions, four personal devotional time slots, two days of team games (and too many games in between to count!), eleven total meals eaten together family-style, twenty total pages of notes taken, tears shed, minds expanded, hearts convicted or opened, and 15+ new Christians born from their time at Camp Regen 2021!
Y’all, when I say it was a jam-packed whirlwind few days, it is no joke! We had something on the schedule from six a.m to eleven p.m every single day! And I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
This was my first year attending Camp Regen… I got home yesterday and I literally cannot wait for next year! Through the next few posts, that will have their own category folder, I will be diving into the notes I took during my favorite sermons and sharing them with all of you! I hope you learn as much as I did as we dove into what it means to live in the light of death as we learn what it means to number our days.
See ya truth-side, friends!
I absolutely love every single one of your injuries! I am so proud of you for so beautifully and boldly and eloquently sharing God’s truth! Camp looks amazing and to get wisdom poured into you in this way is every parents dream! I cannot wait to see what you share next
